Alison advises clients on wealth transfer planning and preservation as well as estate and trust administration. She works closely with individuals and families to design and implement estate plans that minimize taxes, provide for the orderly distribution of assets, take into account the possibility of incapacity, and reduce the risk of future disputes.

Alison also has in-depth knowledge of Surrogate’s Court practice and procedure and represents clients in an array of judicial proceedings including, probate, administration, contested accountings, and kinship determinations.

Alison regularly presents on estate and tax planning and estate administration issues to wealth advisory firms and their clients.

Prior to joining Sherman Atlas, she was a trusts and estates partner at the Law Offices of Raymond V.J. Schrag, a fourth-generation family run law firm. She began her career as an associate at Hahn & Hessen LLP.
