Biography
Alana Lightenberg is a paralegal in the Tax and Trusts & Estates Practice Group of Sherman Atlas. Alana aids in all phases of estate planning and estate and trust administration and assists with entity formations and transfers as well as filings in connection with the Corporate Transparency Act.
While working as a paralegal at Sherman Atlas, Alana attends Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in the part-time JD program where she received the Merit Scholarship and has been recognized on the Dean’s List. Alana is the current Vice President of the Health Law Society and the Secretary of the Older and Wiser Law Students Society at the law school. She has been an active member of the law school’s Corporate and Commercial Law Society and served as the Class Representative for the Future Tax and Estate Professionals Law Society. During her free time, Alana served as a Judicial Intern with the Bergen County Family Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Prior to joining Sherman Atlas, Alana Lightenberg has previous experience working as a tax, trusts and estates and corporate paralegal.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Felician University in Social and Behavioral Sciences and minor in Criminal Justice where she received the President’s Scholarship, Dean’s List and University Honor Roll. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, Alana obtained her American Bar Association Paralegal Certificate from Montclair State University with honors from the Lamda Epsilon Chi (LEX), a national honor society founded by the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE).
